So I ate a lot of food in Shanghai! Highlights… the Xiao Long Bao, the Breakfast Walking Tour and the first of many egg tarts… from KFC no less!!
15/12/24
One one afternoon we did a short train ride out of Shanghai to visit the most famous water village, Zhujiajiao. It was nice and easy on the metro and a great way to spend the afternoon. It is a series of small streets, laneways and shops along lots of canals. Magic was 5pm when all the lanterns lit up!
12/12/24 – 13/12/24
We visited Shaghai Disneyland for two days and it was the last Disneyland for us all to visit to get the set. I liked it… bigger than most the others and more spread out. Less vibe than most the other parks but similar and different enough to make it a nice change.
12/12/24 – 17/12/24
This was an exciting trip! My first time to mainland China, and my first trip to Taiwan. The plan was 6 days in Shanghai, 3 days in Taipei, and then finish with 6 in Hong Kong. SO MUCH FOOD TO BE EATEN!!!
We started in Shanghai, after *just* making our connecting flight. Over the 6 days in Shanghai we explored the city in different ways… from daytime journies to specific locations, to general night time wanders. Most exploring was along East Nanjing Rd toward the Bund, the main city area, and the Yu Gardens.
